How To Check Your Tires For Dry Rot

Tires are made out of petroleum and eventually dry up, rot and crack. Over time, the oils in the tire's rubber begin to evaporate, leading to more cracks, leading to dry rot.

Dry rot is dangerous and can cause tires to lose air pressure and other tire problems including a blowout.

Inactivity, low tire pressure and excessive heat are some of the common causes for dry rot.

Your tire's age is also an important thing to keep in mind.
