    I brought my SUV to Midas when I kept hearing a rattling noise in the front. It kept getting worse. I had recently replaced my struts to the tune of $600 because another repair shop said that was the problem. But it didn't fix the rattle Mechanic Dave drove my vehicle around the block and said it needed a new sway bar. The new sway bar and labor were less than $200.and I was on my way in 30 minutes!

    Comments: Walked in for a safety check around noon, my Maintenance required light had also been on for a couple days so I mentioned to the front office that I would like to schedule to get that checked out when they had a next available appointment. He assured me that we could set that up when I came back to pick up my vehicle. My safety was done in less than 20 minutes! I returned to the shop to pick up my van and David had already checked my Maintenance required situation and asked if I had another 30minutes to spare that he could change my oil/oil filter for me!! I was Ecstatic, thank you so much David! It is so nice to be able to get everything done in one visit. I am referring my friends and family to Kailua Midas so they can enjoy their great service, friendly staff and outstanding courtesy. Mahalo

I was so impressed with how that took care of me that I brought my son's automobile in for an oil and filter change and break work. Upon their inspection other issues were discovered thus we had everything done during the visit. Professional service with a friendly and welcoming touch. I would highly recommend the store in Kailua Oahu as it's an all service facility. Midas just doesn't do mufflers they do it all.

The reason why I'm given them a 3 star is because it always takes really long for my services even when I have an appointment. Although their slow the service is good and I always go home happy.     When I first moved to Hilo I shipped my car over from the mainland and was unfamiliar with the safety and auto regulations. I came into Midas without an appointment where Tia was able to help me get everything set up and checked out. She was very friendly patient and kind and the people who serviced my car were quick and friendly as well. Since that day I have only brought my car to Midas when I need oil changes safety checks or anything else my car may need that they are able to help with. My experience has been consistently amazing and efficient and I will continue to be a loyal customer for as long as I live here.     I believe his name is Chris at the counter w/the beard had the parts on hand and the perfect mechanic for the job! Jake the mechanic fixed my car fast & perfect; it was late in the day he completed the job w/such efficiency and by the way their pride & effort showed me the previous mechanic whom I purchased the vehicle was not only ripping me off but keeping my vehicle longer than needed I felt insulted as a female and as a consumer. I?ve always loved Midas & called immediately after retreaving my Subaru going from stressed out mom to filled with hope and impending relief & safety it was definitely an impending emergency situation of great concern. Chris made all my worries disappear they should both be rewarded for their efforts maybe you could add solar panels for air-conditioning it?s pretty hot in Kona and/or monitary help/perk that would be of great value to them would be a suitable reward for their diligent efforts. I greatly appreciate what Jake was able to accomplish in the timeframe as well as being able to get my vehicle in with the parts on hand they should at least get recognized!

My car was done so quickly I should have just waited there.     Comments: Just wanted to give a shout out to the Kailua Midas crew. Took my mom's car there this morning for an oil change, tire rotation and air filter change. We dropped the car off an hour before our appointment and were planning on running to town while they worked on it, but by the time we were done with our lunch they called to say the car was pau!! Huge mahalos for the wonderful service and great prices. The young haole guy in the office (sorry I didn't catch his name) was respectful and super professional -- an elusive combination nowadays. He said the car was in great shape and didn't try to upsell anything. I would be confident sending my elderly mother there on her own, without having to worry about her being preyed upon.

    The mechanics left a connection loose. an engine warning light came on. From past experience there is a $75 charge to hook up the car to a diagnolstic device to find out what is wrong. I bought the device and tested it myself for less $ and found the problem. sometimes i wonder if this sort of sloppy work is done on purpose to get you back to the shop for more unneeded work. i think you've lost us as a customer.

Lots of people were walking in for inspection and told not for a few days at least as inspector does not work every day. it went well for me but my advise is to call and make an appointment.

    I really like coming here for my vehicle because the staff is very nice. However my concern with this visit was the wait for my vehicle and that my battery was drained when I picked up my car. I think it was because it was backed up due to the false missle alert that it was delayed so I can understand. But the i was kind of frustrated that my battery was dead when I started it up because someone who inspected my car left my lights on when my vehicle was off. Just wanted you guys to know my concerns so you guys are aware no to drain someone s battery again.

    When I first got there I forgot to give my coupon to the agent. I gave it to snother agent who confirmed which was my vehicle. When I checked my receipt later that day I noticed that I did not get the special rate. The coupon also included tire rotation, which I could tell was not done. I also meant to ask the agent if they could fill my tire with air as it was low but forgot. I would think out of courtesy they would''ve done it automatically as you could see the light on the dash indicating the tire pressure was low.

    Midas in Waipahu Hawai i is a gem! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are very reasonable and the work is done fast, clean and professionally.     The only thing that bothered me was that nobody got back to me in regard to the appointment request I made the week prior to coming in. When I called about 4 days later, I was told I wouldn''t need an appointment since I was coming in first thing in the morning. Still, it would have been nice if someone had got back to me as was noted when I made the request.

    I generally work with Sean but he was off the day I went in this time so Tyler assisted me. Tyler is awesome too! Such a great experience. He offered upgrades and I honestly would have done them but I need money for a trip soon. He explained everything well and provided me with a printout of the results of my concerns. I ll need more work done soon. Switching to Midas in Hilo a few years ago was such a smart move. Love the customer service!!!!!

    I did not have high expectations from my visit. However, after meeting Richard and the other employees, I believe this group is one of the best service providers I have ever experienced. They are hardworking and no nonsense. While vehicle servicing is time consuming, they get it done with the utmost professionalism and speed which provides added-value and comfort for the customer.     Midas Kailua Is Awesome. I went there in December 2017 as a last min and since then my van drives smoother than when it would get serviced at a dealership. The staff there are friendly and professional and actually do their job. My go to for routine oil changes for for sure

    I live in Pearl City so going to Midas in Pear City would be easier for me. The first few times I went there the service was great. I usually make an appointment early is always good for me. I usually have the regular service and tiire rotation my last trip the tech said he couldn't rotate my tires because it was wearing on one side I always have my tires rotated during routine service it upset me. so I called talked to a woman No and all she said that's what we do. No offer to check into the problem. The tech was just lazy and I. was the fiirst customer of the day. Never go there again Waipahu is much better very polite and helpful. Great Service

    The work done on my brakes was very good and done quickly so I didn't have to leave it overnight. However the price was rather high and the lug nuts on the wheels were overtightenedaccording to my hubby. He had to loosen them and retorque to the proper amt. We want to be able to get them off ourselves in the event of a flat tire on the road...so that's why we re-did it.

    i had made an appointment for brakes in the afternoon with the assurance that they could be repaired that day. When a mechanic went home sick I was told they couldn't do it. Well I was angry since I live in lower Puna and didn't get to Hilo often. The manager then stood up and said he would work overtime if I wanted to stay past closing. I stayed and it was fixed.     The team at Midas on Kilauea Ave Hilo HI is the absolute best. I have taken many cars to many mechanics over my life time and should know by now when my car is being taken care of properly. The never suggest repairs that are not necessary and do an excellent job. My 2007 Honda CRV runs like a top thanks to them. Sean is an expert mechanic. He even properly diagnosed then took care of my air conditioning problem. Awesome.

    I always have a good experience when my husband and I go there . The service is great! The only thing that I suggest is that you do not give the option of making an appointment for safety checks online. I made one and did not hear back so I walked in and the customer service rep let me know that you only do walk ins for that service Other than that as always the service is excellent!

    I went to Toyota to have them look at my 2016 Sienna's shocks struts and brakes that your mechanics said needed replacing. You would not pass my safety check because of them. Toyota said there was nothing wrong - all were in the green. Somebody is lying .... Very bad business and very disappointing Jerry

    Like that they are close to my home. Like the front desk staff. Very kind professional and responsive. The prices seem a little high to me but the quality of service is worth it. They can get you into the service shop quickly and get you OUT and back on the road quickly also.
